Financial Help for Emergencies

The Concrete Supports Program provides non-recurring, short-term financial assistance that is designed to deal with a specific crisis or episode of need. This assistance will not extend beyond four months and is not intended to meet recurring or ongoing needs.

Must be TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) Eligible Current household gross income is below 300% of the 2022 Federal Poverty Level. Must have at least one dependent child (aged 0-23) living in the home.
Family has a specific crisis or episode of need that occurred within the last 4 months

Examples:

  • Loss of employment or sudden reduction in income
  • Unexpected medical expenses or serious illness
  • Death or serious illness of a family member
  • Domestic violence or unsafe living situation
  • Natural disaster or fire affecting the home
  • Unexpected car repair needed for work or school transportation
  • Temporary inability to work due to injury or caregiving responsibilities
